Entry Levels 1,2,3: If you have never studied this subject before and you’re not confident in your ̨Íåswag, Entry levels are a good starting point.
Level 1: Covers basic ̨Íåswag and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of ̨Íåswag. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.
Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and ̨Íåswag in this subject.
Improvers: The next step if you have basic ̨Íåswag or knowledge but want to progress them further.
Advanced: Build on the solid experience and ̨Íåswag you have in this subject, applying your ̨Íåswag and knowledge in a more complex way.

Course description
What we’ll cover: • Recognise a broad range of prefixes, suffixes, and root words in common vocabulary. • Learn critical reading ̨Íåswag to help you evaluate and compare information from different sources. • Understand the structure of written arguments and identify the main points of view. • Recognise and understand metaphors, similes, clichés and idioms in English. • Explore texts that can have multiple purposes depending on the reader’s point of view. This ESOL level 2 course focuses on how to improve reading ̨Íåswag for adults. You need previous knowledge to take this course, that’s why you’ll need to do a ̨Íåswag check to enrol. Don’t worry, this isn’t an exam. It’s for us to make sure you get on the right course for your level. Our friendly team will contact you to start your ̨Íåswag check as part of your booking. When you complete this module, you can continue with other ESOL ̨Íåswag for life level 2 courses. This is the highest level ESOL qualification we offer. There are also writing and speaking and listening courses. What to expect This online ESOL reading course takes 37.5 hours to complete. Please note that you’ll need an internet connection to study online ESOL courses. This is so you can access our digital learning platform, Canvas. If you’d like to learn digital ̨Íåswag to help you study online, you can also take our Canvas course for ESOL learners. The WEA is an experienced ESOL course provider. We want you to get the most out of your studies and open doors to opportunities. Our tutors and staff will help you with any language needs you might have.
