Course overview
Course description
All our Care2 courses are completely free for unpaid carers (or those who have previously been carers). You do not need to receive a carer's allowance to qualify. If you are unsure, please contact our call centre advisors who will be able to assist you.
Everyone has that friend who already has everything or can be difficult to buy for at Christmas time and on birthdays. Come along and learn to make something simple, pretty and personal for them instead of the usual gift, so you can enjoy that delighted look on their face when you give them a teacup planter made with your very own hands.
Please bring along a teacup and saucer (or just the cup) of your choice and join experienced gardener Debbie Young, who will show you how to make the planter, decorate it, give advice on what type of plants to use and aftercare notes for your planter to work at its best, not just for Christmas but all year long. We will decorate it for Christmas, but these decorations can be removed for all year showing. There will be some cups and saucers available for those who aren鈥檛 able to bring their own*. This course is being run as part of the Care 2 project, funded by the innovation fund to provide short free courses for unpaid carers, former carers and supporters e.g. volunteers/ staff. Please bring a box to put your planter in.
*Donation to Billericay Branch tea bar suggested.
