Course overview
Course description
This course is perfect for anyone who loves the holiday season and enjoys crafting, whether you're a beginner looking to learn the basics or an experienced crafter seeking to build on your card making ̨Íåswag.
Each week we will explore together a variety of card-making techniques such as:
· Stamping and Embossing
· Mat and layering
· Decoupage
· Die cutting
· Using mixed media
During each session you will have the opportunity to comment on your classmates work, and receive feedback on your own creations, from both tutor and fellow crafters. This sharing of our makes can be really inspiring and build confidence in our own creative ability. This course will provide you with the inspiration and technical knowledge to go on and create memorable and treasured cards for your nearest and dearest.
We will be using our digital learning platform CANVAS, to set clear objectives and upload our work to. A reasonably stocked craft room is a must for this course and a more detailed list of specific items needed for each project will be on CANVAS a couple of days before, so you can gather supplies and choose the papers you want to use – this is always the most time consuming part!
By the end of this course you will have a collection of beautiful cards ready for the festive season, and the confidence to continue crafting on your own and for any occasion. If you have enjoyed this course and would like to do more paper-crafting visit the WEA.org.uk web site and see what’s on offer for the new year.
