You’ll explore how to use balance, contrast, and harmony to create visually striking, holiday-inspired artwork, perfect for the season. By experimenting with seasonal colour palettes—think warm reds and greens or frosty blues and silvers—you will discover how to evoke a joyful, wintry feel in your designs. Throughguided exercises, you’ll bring classic holiday themes to life, incorporating elements like snowflakes, ornaments, and cozy winter scenes to craft unique and eye-catching pieces suitable for holiday cards or decor.

This course is suitable with learners who wish to improve their English to get ready to apply for a job, who are unemployed and looking for work and who also have English as a second language. Learners with English as a second language, who are looking for work and receiving benefits and aged 19 plus are eligible. If you are in receipt of work-related benefits. In this short course, we will focus on Expressionism, a key art movement of the beginning of the 20th century. Starting around 1905 in Germany and Austria, with painters and sculptors such as Ersnt Ludwig Kirchner and Karl Schmidt-Rotluff, the expressionist style soon pervaded other art forms, such as cinema. Expressionist works of art were raw and energetic, shocking, sometimes dark and apocalyptic, sometimes light and spiritual, and always intensely free. If you have ever wondered what is Expressionism, how it started and developed, and why these artists painted in such a way, this course is for you!

When you’re studying maths at school, it’s sometimes hard to see how you’ll use the ̨Íåswag in real life. All it takes is for someone to explain that ratios help you compare the prices of different products, percentages are used to split bills, and multiplication and division help you set a monthly budget. When you learn in context, it’s easy to see how functional maths is. This Functional ̨Íåswag Maths Level 2 course is designed using real-life examples to help you improve your maths ̨Íåswag. If you find it easier to learn maths with practical examples, this is the course for you. Functional ̨Íåswag qualifications are free if you don't already have a GCSE in English or Maths at grades A*-C, or 4-9. We'll check your level and any previous qualifications before you start. This ensures you are on the correct course.

This is an Excel course for beginners, and we’ll cover all the basics. This beginner’s Excel course aims to teach you computer ̨Íåswag for everyday life.

Modern society is often fast - paced causing many of us to feel overwhelmed and stressed, learning to relax is an effective tool to support stress management. This course is suitable for anyone - if you want to learn how to really relax, this course is ideal for you, and you are encouraged to join. You will learn to recognise how simple relaxation techniques can help you to relieve your own symptoms of stress. You will be guided through the practice of calming breathing techniques and gentle movements that ease tension in the body. Each session will end with a guided Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation practice) that will encourage deep rest of both mind and body.

On this course you will make a variety of Christmas gifts to give to your loved ones. We will make both edible and non- edible gifts suitable for a variety of people. You will make everything along with me, so you can ask questions and share your ideas throughout the session.

This workshop is designed to promote relaxation and mindfulness, allowing you to unwind as they explore the art of Zentangle. You will learn basic Zentangle techniques, such as creating simple shapes and lines, and discover how to transform these elements into festive patterns that capture the holiday spirit. By the end of the session, you will leave with beautifully adorned creations, embodying both your artistic expression and the joy of the season.
